Isabel Chardonnay 2005 Marlborough,
New Zealand is justifiably proud of their Chardonnays even if it is the Sauvignons which make the all
the noise. This is a Chardonnay with a plethora of flavours and a full, creamy finish. The nose exhibits
subtle intensity of honey and caramel nougat intermingled with tropical fruits and hints of vanilla
oak; 50% of the wine was fermented in French barriques, 20% of which were new.
